I think that in this case, Sharon's real personality is the shy, quiet girl that she acts like when she is sober. When Sharon drinks, she is not showing her real self to her friends. She uses alcohol to become something that she's not. Unfortunately, Sharon relies on alcohol to transform into something that she's not. It is also unfortunate that Sharon can't show her real self to her friends. What she shows them when she is partying is an alcohol-induced front. She is masking her true self by becoming intoxicated. She needs to learn to show her real self to her friends, what she shows them now is not who she is. Sharon needs to show her friends the real person inside of her. She should be comfortable with herself and not feel the need to be the tipsy party girl every time she goes out.
Sharon's constant drinking is not right. Using alcohol to bring out another personality is a serious problem, especially in Sharon's case because she uses it so frequently to turn herself into something she's not. Sharon shouldn't feel the need to let out this other personality; she should show her friends who she really is instead of showing them an alternate personality that comes out when she has been drinking.
By drinking every time she goes out with friends she is becoming dependent on alcohol. Sharon is beyond the point of a social drinker. Sharon is an alcoholic. Drinking every time she has plans with friends will eventually takes its toll on Sharon, physically, mentally, and psychologically. Sharon's drinking is constantly killing her brain cells and her personality. It is not right for anyone to use alcohol or drugs to let out a personality that we feel more comfortable with. We should be sure of ourselves and shouldn't feel the need to constantly drink so that we can show those who are supposed to be our friends another personality. We should be comfortable with ourselves and be able to show those around us who we really are.
