Another facet of the public relations at Charleston high school that pertains to the listening issue is the Principal’s Evening. This is a chance for anyone to express anything that he or she might want to say. Mr. Broom put s on a pot of coffee once a month and leaves his door open. He also said, “that after listening to the community and before responding to their concerns; you must understand that the community does not want to be sold anything, just reflected.” He explained that community basically wants to feel like an important part of the school.
Mr. Broome explained that in order to get the community to feel like a part of the school, the community has to be in the school as much as possible.
